Sheffield is the country's greenest city and has all the features
that England's forth largest city should have and more. It is ideally
located with the Peak District National Park right on its doorstep.
Shopping
Sheffield has an abundance of shopping. It is home to the world
famous Meadowhall Centre. In addition smaller shopping centres such
as the Forum Shopping centre, Fargate and Orchard Square are featured
in the city centre.
Concerts and Clubs
Sheffield boasts some of the best venues with top performers
frequenting Don Valley Stadium and Sheffield Arena. Furthermore
a wealth of up and coming talent and can be seen at the Leadmill
and other smaller clubs.
Art
Sheffield is also home to the Crucible Theatre, which is linked with the Lyceum Theatre and studio to form the largest theatrical complex outside London. New museums like the Millennium gallery which operate in conjunction with London's Victoria and Albert Museum features some of the world's most renowned treasures.
Sport
Sheffield is home to some of the greatest international sporting venues in the country. Britain's first National City of Sport is home to Ponds Forge, The Ski Village, Rother Valley Country Park, Ice Sheffield, English Insitute of Sport and Don Valley Stadium, . Sheffield also has a wealth of spectator sports including our two professional football teams (Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday), ice hockey, rugby, basketball and speedway and golf.
Nature
Sheffield is situated within reach of many great outdoor attractions.
The largest and most impressive of which is the Peak District National
Park. It also caters for other outdoor enthusiasts with attractions
such as Rother Valley Country Park where you can golf, sail or walk.
